Val d’Isère, France. Set at an elevation of 1930m in the naturally quiet hamlet of Le Fornet, Arolay Penthouse enjoys a rare sense of seclusion while remaining firmly connected to Val d’Isère’s wider ski area, positioned along the banks of the Isère river with sweeping views in every direction.

The Le Fornet lift station lies a gentle five minute walk from the property, delivering guests straight into the Tignes Val d’Isère ski area and its 300 kilometres of pistes. For those who prefer not to walk, a complimentary shuttle bus stops right outside the building, running from early morning until 2am throughout the winter, connecting guests easily to the main snow front where the resort’s ski schools meet and the Solaise gondola and Olympique cable car begin their ascent.

The centre of Val d’Isère, with its boutique shops, celebrated restaurants and buzzing bars, is a five minute drive away, giving guests the choice of a quiet mountain retreat with the resort’s liveliest attractions never far from reach.
